As far as an OC, I think, at least at first, Stein will do the majority of the play calling. Hard habit to break.
There are a few possibly that could be held over from Stoops.
I've always wondered if he might be a more aggressive DC in a different situation. I guess we might find out at Florida. Good luck to him except when they play the Cats.

Just throwing out a wild card: what about Ed Orgeron as DL coach? Was a great recruiter and, by all accounts, an excellent DL coach, too. Don't think he's working anywhere as far as I know. Plenty of experience.

Coach O is lobbying hard for the Tulane HC job.

I was hoping Chris Hampton might be the guy he brings in for DC. He's currently at Oregon as Co-DC, but it looks like their main DC, Toch Lupoi is going to get the Cal job and I bet Hampton gets promoted in Eugene. Lanning is going to have quite the tree really quick. He has had 3 coordinators between OC and DC while at Oregon. Dillingham is already at ASU, Stein at UK and it looks like Lupoi at Cal. 3 for 3 putting guys in P4 jobs is pretty impressive in 4 years.

Not sure if it has been posted but it looks like UTSA OC Justin Burke is Stein's man for the same position here. I also think Stein will handle playcalling for a little while.

Eric Wolford headed to LSU. I am not sorry to see this guy leave.

We're hiring former LSU OC Joe Sloan. He was their OC the last two seasons.

I know he was Daniels' QB coach and has been LSU's OC the past two years, but LSU struggled mightily on offense this year, dramatically off 2024's pace. Nussmeier was hurt, I believe, which may explain some of the drop off.

Oh well, Stein knows more than I do.

What am I missing? Do we have 2 new offensive coordinators? What is Justin Burke’s position?

I don't know, but maybe he's QB coach or something.

Cal has announced Lupoi as their coach.
