Well that is not a great fit but a good fit. He can bring toughness back to them Hokies. Not sure how long he will have to get them back to the top of the ACC consistently. But will be worth watching from a distance.Proverbs 25:24Comment

That's about as good of a hire as they could have made imo. Franklin was the best coach without a job and a top 5 coach the past 3 years. He went 34-8/22-5 in a top 2 conference the past 3 seasons. He also has really good recruiting ties to the DC area from his time at Maryland and VaTech recently pledged to put a lot more money into their athletic department.
If he stays there, I think they are a top 20 team sooner rather than later.Comment

Seems like a good pick up for VT. With how flaky the top ACC teams can be, I bet he picks up some top 10 wins quick. I still think Penn St jumped the gun on canning him.Comment
