I think you are correct. Even if we lose out. He will keep Stoops another year. The thing is will Stoops want another year. It could be a wait it out thing. Funds will dwindle more, players will not want to waste a year here, just look at Calzada now. I doubt he will be able to keep Boley, his parents will probably tell him to move on from this wreck.
