No matter what happens the rest of the year, it was good to see some smiles tonight from players and staff. Well done.

I am surprised but very happy for the team. Defense played lights out all night tonight. Offense has a LOT of issues - play calling was uninspired, Boley made several really bad passes/decisions, OL had some untimely penalties. But, an ugly win is a win (finally). Really disappointed in Boley's play tonight. Threw several passes that should have been picked off and was darn lucky they weren't. We got a gift from the football gods on the fumbled INT - they would've had the ball near midfield with 2+ minutes to go IIRC. Very fortunate (and smart) to punch that ball out.

I don't see how we beat FL, Vandy or UL the same way. But, I'm celebrating the end of the ignominious SEC losing streak.

Hugh Freeze is obviously fired very, very soon.

Defense played much better against an offense about as bad as we have played this year. I had the game on my laptop, watching World Series on TV. Had sound off on PC. Boley was the better QB but that was 2 awful offenses out there tonight.

Huge out of here Freese. Stoops is on a lifeline now. If UK can get another W Mitch will probably think about extending his contract.

Nice game defense and punt team.

Miller saved it by forcing and recovering the fumble on the very play we tried to give it away. So even the offense’s best play was on defense.

Both teams 'accumulated' right at 240 yards of total offense. That was hard to watch. That truly was Iowa football tonight - an ugly, slugfest where both offenses were bad but we end up winning 10-3. Stoops must be busting at the buttons to tell everyone, 'See, I told you we could win like this!'. A win is a win and, by golly, it's been so long since we've had a 'real' win, I'll take it any way I can get it.

Where the heck was this defense last week when we barely made TN slow down?

They were playing an offense last week that is approximately 17x better than Auburn's this season. War Eagle has underachieved on that side all year. That's what is going to get Freeze fired. Same concept on the other side of the ball. Boley and UK had success against a bad orange stain D. All they can do on that side is rush the QB. Auburn has one of the best defenses in the country this year and we struggled mightily on offense.

Very fun and much needed victory. I am starting to dream of a bowl game again. Not likely but with our defense we can beat 3 of the remaining teams with a couple good bounces.

Auburn is horrible! Their offense has stunk all year ,and stoops got lucky last night, finding the end zone one time . Game was like watching paint dry .
