Boley's play so far reminds me somewhat of early Charles Woodson. Really rough start and gradual improvement with real star possibilities. He is obviously seeing the " picture" better each week. He has a great arm and showing more "touch" with every throw. I hope we can keep him , if he stays healthy he might be, as Bear Bryant said, " a good un"

You mean Andre Woodson but you're right. He's seeing the whole field much better, not forcing the long ball and using the underneath routes effectively. With a little help, he could prove to be a very solid QB for UK.

I've heard that some boosters were irked by NIL spend. That explains it.

I still don't think there's much difference between Boley and Calzada. The only reason we haven't seen these performances from Calzada is he hasn't been on the field. Boley wasn't good at all the first two games he played.

It's rather obvious that Boley has made great strides. Though the outcome was bad, he made throws against Texas last season that Calzada only dreams of making. Cutter has gotten exponentially better with every game this year. He's got a bright future. Hopefully it's here with a better staff. He's got the tools to be really good.

I'm just saying that in the early games, the 2 QBs looked about the same. The rest of the offense might be what has made great strides. It would be interesting to see Calzada out there now.

Whoever looked at Calzada and picked him should be terminated immediately. I’ve seen QB’s on several teams that are really good. However, Boley was all but promised the job last season. If I were Boley I would enter the portal if this staff remains. Boley has what it takes to be really, really good. I wonder why Vince left with a huge pay cut. Something happened and it appears that he wasn’t the issue, Stoops is.

I'd say the only way Calzada plays again is if Boley is injured, and I certainly hope that doesn't happen.

I have no proof of this but I believe the mindset was, we would be getting something similar to Pavia at Vandy. If that is the case, it was a serious error

There should be no position on the field that is promised, it needs to be earned. He has definitely earned it this year.

See my thread on TN's defense. Statistically, they're worse that UK's by a decent margin. Auburn's defense is MUCH better. It will be illuminating to see how our offense performs next week.

Boley has improved, for sure. I don't believe Calzada would be better, but, perhaps, not that much worse, either. I think Hamdan has made better play calls, Boley is utilizing the underneath routes now more than previously, the young WRs seem to be open more than the motley group Calzada was throwing to, etc. But, Calzada was a stretch and it turned out he wasn't as good as hoped.

I'm trying to keep what little hope I have from escalating in response to Boley's recent play. No guarantee that he stays at UK next year so I'm not getting pumped up about 'the future'.
