    Another UK hangover

No, I didn’t drink any alcohol but I woke up again like a hundred times with the thought of losing again. I put this as one the greatest coaching blunders of all time. This was the Cats game top to bottom and the coaches lose it again. The special teams probably get 1/2 the blame and the OC and HC a share. The players gave everything they had and I appreciate that. The leadership let them down once again.

like Bill Curry use to say, mind boggling.

I turned the game off at halftime and went to bed. The losses don't bother me like they used to. I've seen this game a hundred times before and pretty much knew how it would turn out.
when you lose as much interest as I have you wake up the next morning with a different perspective. I'm disappointed but not sick or angry any more.

So many decisions, had they been made a different way, could/would have allowed the Cats to win last night. Everything played according to the ideal Stoops script: we controlled the ball, only had one turnover, very close in the 4th quarter with a chance to win, dominated the stats. Yet, a play here, a play there, a bad decision and, yep, chalk another loss up. For several years, UK was money in one-score games. That's obviously taken a 180 degree turn in the past few years as it seems like we lose almost all of those types of games now.

I respect Sark and the TX staff but they hardly distinguished themselves last night, either. Thought their offensive game plan was very poor and they didn't seem to make many adjustments or try to be creative (misdirection, play action, RPO, etc.) to get our defense on their back foot. Yet, somehow, we managed to keep them in the game long enough for one more bad coaching decision to bite us in the behind.

What South Jones said in post #3..... that's me exactly.

Slow learner alert: I did however, watch the whole game.

Manning missing several wide open receivers helped us too. But in the end our opponents have to go a little too far to actually give us wins. Basically we’ll screw up however many times it takes. Stoops losing his mind and foaming at the mouth on the sideline indicates he cares. The results just show he ain’t got it between the ears to win.

With the exception of a couple of minutes here and there, in different games not all in the same one, I haven't watched any UK fb since the So. Car. debacle last season. I vowed not to watch another game as long as Stoops is the coach.

You can just add this game to the long list of games we should have won but poor coaching threw away.
