NFL - Jets 'amass' 82 total yards in loss vs Broncos

How is that even possible? Broncos defense is solid, but 82 yards TOTAL? Was Bush Hamdan calling plays?

The Jets offense, particularly Fields, is terrible. The Broncos D is one of the best, if not the best, in the league. I saw a beatdown coming but not 82 yards of offense. Shines a light on just how bad the Jets are.

Officially, had NEGATIVE passing yards as a team (1st time that's happened in >30 years, IIRC). Field threw for 45 but got sacked for -55, so net of MINUS 10 yards passing. And, how bad is your OL when Justin Fields, who is very mobile, gets sacked 6 or 7 times and is pressured on half of the drop backs? I know Denver has a pretty good defense but it ain't the '85 Bears or the Steel Curtain.

Jets are beyond pathetic. It's hard to be that much worse than every other NFL team with draft mechanism, salary cap and revenue sharing. Front office must be a collection on numbskulls.

Yeah and didn’t help my fantasy teams. I still beat WildcatRick pretty soundly in one of our matchups though. Need some decent performances tonight to go 2-0 against him this week. LOL.

Never understood why the NFL counts sacks against passing yards and not rushing like college. Why is it considered passing when no passing attempt is made.

It doesn't count against the QB's personal stats. It counts against the team total to show total yards and overall performance of the passing attack. Even though the ball isn't thrown, I can see it counting as an attempt.

As a Broncos fan since the mid 80’s I loved it. I tried to blame the lack of offense on jet lag to London but the defense was amazing right down to the final game sealing sack.

Still, need the offense to become more reliable. Sometimes it’s pretty good. But struggling against the lowly Jets is not a good look.
