    Stoops has Kentucky held hostage.

He may not intend for that to be the case but it is.

Stoops doesn't have what it takes.

It's gonna be a long two or three years until Kentucky can afford to get rid of Stoops.

Gotta bite the bullet and do it after this season. If we ever want to be anything in football we can't afford not to.

I still think there is a plan in place to let him go after this year. Yes it will be expensive, but UK has no choice. The loss of revenue will be too great for the department to ignore. It won’t happen over the next month. Mitch doesn’t want to take anything away from the start of basketball

I agree. I think he's gone after this season.

I am with this logic.I appreciate what Stoops did for Kentucky but it's time to part ways.He has pretty much lost the fanbase.Barnhart should be fired for giving up such ludicrous contracts to Cal and Stoops. It's time to clean house.

At this point keep him on staff, make him do something like changing trash cans during games and around campus throughout the week. Hire your new guy and his guys and start over. Then let the board witness the most overpaid employee in the state every day. Make it so bad Andy B is having to deal with questions. Make him leave and not buy him out. He is a state employee.

The Governor of the State should ban him from re-entry when he leaves.

Made me giggle. Then I checked some info on the WWW (which you all know is 100% correct, right...), and it says that he can be moved around as long as his pay is the same. State employee can have position change under contract but keep the same pay. Now I want to see Stoops on trash duty at the next home game. Oh wait, if I watch I probably will.

Actually I believe he is an employee of Champion Blue, LLC.

When he signed contract he is an employee of UK. For them to change that he would have to have signed a new contract. He should still be a state employee.
Web search: Again we know the WWW is correct (LOL).

Yes, Mark Stoops is a Kentucky state employee, as he is the head football coach for the University of Kentucky, a state-funded institution. He is paid through the university, with his salary listed in school financial reports and his contract details confirmed by news outlets, confirming his employment by the state

OK, my bad. Somewhere I read that the checks were coming from Champion Blue. Maybe they were referring to just the athletes NIL payments.
