IF this is true, it tells me this is the last year. No SEC coach was fired last year and very few across the P4 in general, and it’s not because they were all doing such a good job. There was so much financial uncertainty no athletic director wanted the extra weight of a buyout on their books. Well this year the financial uncertainty is mostly sorted out, and there were 5 P4 coaches fired before October. It will be a busy coaching carousel this year, and I for one think UK will be involved.
There’s is a case to be made if you think this is a bumper year for coaching searches, try to last one more season with Stoops so you have less competition on the market. But that would have a disastrous effect on the fanbase…Last edited by TheZookeeper; 10-05-2025, 01:13 AM.Comment

After CMS statement today I'm gonna put on my tinfoil hat and say Stoops did meet with Mitch and they couldn't agree on a number so Stoops just said Okay, fire me and I'll take all 38 mill.Comment
