I'm out on Franklin. Shouldn't have, but he rubbed me the wrong way when he was at Vandy. I'm glad he lost to winless UCLA yesterday.

It's Sumrall for me. Gruden is too old plus his HC'ing record isn't all that great. Yeah Jimbo was good at FSU but what competent coach wouldn't be? Besides he bombed at A&M.

Fair enough, I think the coach-on-the-rebound can work but it’s probably better if they have a year or two to reset, be an analyst, see the game from afar, etc.

He would probably bring a decent number of players with him from Penn St and make us competitive year one.

Same here. He definitely rubbed me the wrong way while at Vandy.

This hire might be a rebound type of hire. Someone here for 2 or 3 years till you find the right fit. I do not think in the new SEC 9 game format you will have anyone wanting to take on the worst team in the SEC (that cares more for Basketball). Get a OC or DC that has good connections and give them a try.

JS at Tulane would be crazy to leave there for here at this point. If Stoops leaves 4 years ago then yes he would.

Stoops is on a mission to burn the house down so no one will want the job.

Franklin just lost his first game I think of the season.
I keep hearing Florida and Auburn are sending feelers to Sumralls camp.
At the rate we are going there isn't going to be a deep crew of interest.

Hiring other school's "Big Name" HCs has not worked very well for Kentucky in the past.

                    No retreads.

Kentucky should be looking for YOUNG and HUNGRY OCs.

No one who is a current HC.

Let them come in. Rip it up. If they're successful, they'll move on to a bigger name school.

                    Then do it again.

Stop with the retreads. They don't work.

You're probably right about jimbo . However ,there is a part of me that thinks a%m may have been a bad fit ,for jimbo. He did have alot of top five recruiting classes while there too. That type of recruiting could bode well for us also.

When recruiting is discussed, the school as well as the coach needs to be in the discussion. The fact that a coach can recruit well at theOSU, UGa., Bama, A&M etc. doesn't mean he could do the same at UK.

Especially now. If the $ ain’t there, the salesman don’t matter.

Personally I’d probably welcome Sumrall if he would start this week. Best we can actually hope for is a change at season’s end. But I agree with others that the longer we wait the deeper the hole we have to dig out of. Stoops’ ship has sunk.
