Unless something changes it’s going to be awhile before the Cats go to a bowl game.

        I agree.

In addition seems like there will be shake out of the so called "minor" bowls. With the SEC and ACC going to a nine game schedule there will be fewer P4 schools bowl eligible. Not sure all of them will survive with 6-6 G5 schools as the teams. It's not unusual for there to not be enough bowl eligible already

Gonna be interesting. Not sure why they have us with Florida at home again and SC on the road again. I know it's how things shake out, but we just went through that with Ole Miss in having to play them on the road twice in a row.

5 road games a year (4 sec and UL one season and then 5 sec the other) every season is gonna be rough.

Totally agree, LG. If we think there has been a lack of enthusiasm for many of our recent minor bowl games, wait until we're invited to a no-name bowl with a 5-7 record. They will have to pay fans to attend that game. There has to be a culling of the number of bowl games. There's what, 40+? 80 teams, out of 134, 'deserve' to go to a bowl? I don't think so. I'd bet a very small percentage of bowl games, and their participant schools, make any money. Maybe with ESPN money they do OK but there are many bowl games where the stands are not even half full.

The positive to the lesser bowls is the extra practices the teams get.

Never going to a bowl money math? Lose or gain in profit? I have no idea how this works. I have heard that schools lose money going to bowls. Especially if they take the band ect.

U of L game must go. UK is not going to a bowl if U of L beats them 50% of the time. 3 non conference wins and 3 conference wins needed. OUCH

Losing UofL is completely reasonable. Right now UK is the underdog in every game in this schedule. Gonna have to find some way to compete. Ask Indianas coach what they did. Beamer. Lea. There's guys out there that have found a way.

Yep. I'd like to see that rule changed. I think bowl teams get 15 extra practice sessions. How about giving non bowl teams ten extra session at least.

I don't know anything about this but hopefully some of the bowl games will be eliminated. There are a number of bowl games that don't amount to a hill of beans.

Dropping the UofL series wouldn't bother me either but we'd still have to play another P4 opponent. Or Notre Dame. League requirement
