Florida, Ewww T, and South Carolina. Three teams we've played every year anyway, Can't complain too much, but might have liked to see somebody like Arkansas one of them. If we can ever get back to our 2018-2021 level of play more consistently, these are all teams we should be able to be competitive with on a yearly basis. USC is kinda like us, they've had their moments, but can fall on hard times in the blink of an eye as well. Beamer will likely be gone after this year anyway, either fired if their season tanks of to VA Tech. Florida hasn't been the same since Urban Meyer left and has more competition in the state now with Miami and FSU resurgence along with USF and Central Florida elevating their programs. UT may have some ups and downs when Huepel eventually leaves them for Oklahoma.

I think some of the attitude is recent bias as Stoops has under performed and so have the players. Undisciplined, coaching mistakes as much if not more than player mistakes. Stubbornness by Stoops. No matter the OC we have no offense. Defense is bending more and more and might not break but man are they dislocating stuff left and right.

That being stated, hope eternal that this team comes together and proves us (those that are not on board this year) wrong each and every game.

I agree with your assessment, I feel that most fans are disappointed with Stoops lately, and it looks like he's not going anywhere due to the massive buyout. Like you I have hope that the team proves me wrong and has a good season.

Well look at 2026 schedule: IF SEC can screw a member they will air towards UK.

5 away, 2 years in a row at South Carolina 25 and 26, At Texas AM (2 times there before they play here in 2028), At Oklahoma (UK had to go to Texas first and now Oklahoma first).

I bet you look at the other charter members and you will probably not see the same thing.

I'm not going to say that we'll never beat any of them.

I will say that this schedule will put Kentucky out of bowl contention most years.

With the new SEC schedule it's going to be hard for Kentucky to win 5 games a year and that may be generous.

It is going to be hard on many teams. Just look at Auburn 3 perm teams, UGA, Bama and one other 1 forget. That is way worse than ours. One thing for sure is that you better have 4 good running backs, 3 deep at linebacker and 9 deep on o and d lines. If you are not you will not make it through a season. There will be plenty of room for guys to make a name for themselves.
