Sure didn't expect to see this so soon, thought the target date for an announcement was December. I still don't expect to see UTn as one of our annual opponents. UTn is almost certainly to get Alabama and Vandy as annual opponents. Also giving them UK seems like a "too easy" set. One thing I fully expect, this will push out aTm visit to Commonwealth to 2029.

That's pretty much a given regardless of if they become a permanent opponent or not. All the teams that did their Home and away thing with Texas this season and last will get flipped to OU. So OU will be on our schedule, but whether its home or away is yet TBD. I'll assume it will be away since Texas is a home game this year."It don't make much sense that common sense don't make no sense no more" John Prine👍 1Comment

So that means we'll end up with Tennessee, Georgia and Texas. Though I hope if what he says is true it's more like Tennessee, MSU and VandyRichard West, a prominent reporter in Knoxville, reported that the 3 permanent SEC opponents for Tennessee will be Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky."It don't make much sense that common sense don't make no sense no more" John PrineComment

No sense worrying about it. We will get whatever 3 they want to dole out. Then of the 6 there will be teams that only play in commonwealth (kroger) once every 10 year. Has AM ever played here since joining the SEC? Texas has been in the SEC only a couple of years and they will have played at commonwealth before AM. Not sure how SEC scheduling goes but it seems to be a blind dart throw for playing the rest of the league.Proverbs 25:24Comment

SEC has said the new schedule will have you play every team at least once every 2 years and home and away within a 4 year period. We'll basically have two schedules - the 3 permanent opponents and half the other 12 one year, other half next year, then flip the home and away and repeat. No sense worrying about it. Yes, but they have said similar things about the previous schedule algorithms. The problem is that they change the algorithm before going through the complete cycle and then start all over. If the conference had not expanded to 16 teams we would have played aTm at home either last year or this one. My expectation is that the nine game schedule will have aTm not coming until 2029. And then if the conference expands again ...

ON3's Chris Low has posted the annual opponents for all 16 SEC teams. He claims this is the list, not just a prediction.
He has UK's opponents as UTn, UF, and USC.

Rumor this morning is that our annual games are going to be Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. I would have liked to see Vanderbilt or Mississippi State on there since those are the only teams we seem evenly matched with in some years, but it could have also been worse. At least we didn’t get Georgia.👍 1Comment
