Stoops has never had that killer instinct. Instead he's always played it conservative when up a couple scores and it's cost us a number of times or kept games closer than they should have been. I know Stoops doesn't want to "embarrass" the lesser OOC opponents that come in, but hey, this is big boy football. They'll get over it. Lots of coaches out there won't hesitate to run it up on somebody. Look what Oregon did to Oklahoma St. last week.
Speaking of Oregon, Another potential Coach we should consider if we miss out on Sumrall is Will Stein, Oregons OC. He has Kentucky ties. Grew up in Louisville, His dad played for UK. He played for UofL, but Brohm is entrenched there for a while. I think he would use UK as a stepping stone, but might stay long enough to wait for the right job to open. If you want a high flying offense, there ya go. This is all assuming Stoops leaves in one capacity or another after this year.
