You proved his point. Simple can mean easy to understand, not easy to execute. You have to have a number of things in a college football program for it to be successful. Look at Alabama. It is a simple plan to hire a capable staff with proven success and bring in talented players. Even then, that doesn't mean it's easy to execute, and we are seeing that with them becoming more of an average program and not the powerhouse they were. You understand this, you just choose to be a certain about things online.Comment

Yeah. And I’m confident I’ve spent a few too many seconds on someone who certainly understood my point but felt compelled to show how wrong I was. I mistakenly thought from this thread he (or she?) was more an Ai guy (or gal?) than an Oxford dictionary guy (or gal?).

It’s always gonna be a .500 type program with a really good season or two every 15-20 years. I’ve been around long enough to see it play out. It’s the same as Kentucky HS basketball. The single A- 3A school will have a really good team every 15-20 years. Adair county is an example. Last two years Adair was very good. Everyone graduated last year, total rebuild.Comment
