Best Quarterbacks from the State of Kentucky

    Tim Couch
    Chris Redman
    Andre Woodson
    Jared Lorenzon

    Brian Brohm

    Who else?

Are there any up and coming dudes?

I can't put Boley here yet. He hasn't done anything yet. No idea how he'll pan out.

For some reason, I've thought that Johnny Unitas was from Kentucky. That dude was from PA.

    Heck....now, I'm angry.

Best two QBs to ever play at UL or UK were both from PA.

    Babe Parilli and Johnny Unitas

    lol

      Blanda was from PA, too.

We need to start looking for QBs from PA, it would seem.

Did not check for veracity but this is ChatGPT's list:

        Top 10 Kentucky-born QBs
        1. Phil Simms (Springfield) — Super Bowl XXI MVP, longtime Giants starter, 33k+ NFL yards.
        2. Tim Couch (Hyden) — UK record-setter; #1 overall pick (1999 Browns).
        3. Chris Redman (Louisville) — NCAA passing monster at Louisville; NFL vet, Super Bowl ring (Ravens).
        4. Jeff Brohm (Louisville) — Louisville star; NFL/Europe stints; (now a major HC, but as a player was a tough, capable pro backup).
        5. Jared Lorenzen (Covington/Ft. Thomas) — UK legend (“Hefty Lefty”); Super Bowl ring (Giants).
        6. Brian Brohm (Louisville) — Louisville All-American; NFL/CFL stints.
        7. Gino Guidugli (Fort Thomas) — Cincinnati career passing leader of his era; CFL/AFL pro.
        8. Patrick Towles (Fort Thomas) — UK/Boston College multi-year starter; NFL camp look.
        9. Shane Boyd (Lexington) — UK QB; NFL camps plus long Arena/CFL run.
        10. Hunter Cantwell (Paducah) — Louisville starter; Panthers practice squad; UFL.

Perhaps we should. "Broadway" Joe Namath hailed from Bever Falls, Pa.

Desmond Ridder played for St X. Had a good college career at Cincinnatti, then started some games for the Atlanta Falcons.

                    He was from Loserville.

                    He counts.

I'd just forgotten about him. lol

Unfortunately, he spurned Kentucky (and Loserville) for Notre Dame.

ChatGPT, missed on Andre Woodson in that list. He should be in the top 10 at least before Cantwell, Boyd, Towles and Guidugli (though he had a pretty solid run at Cincy)

                          Maybe not!

Personal: Andre’ Woodson, Jr., was born 4-25-84 in Fort Lewis, Wash. … Son of Andre’ W. Woodson and Robin Woodson … Coming from a military family, he was born in Washington state, and has since lived in Germany, Pennsylvania, Hawaii before moving to the Fort Knox area nine years ago … Major is undecided.
