Well, at least Deion and the Buffs lost

Managed only 7 points off 3 TOs in the first 8 minutes and lost on a late GA Tech TD.

Buffs final drive after falling behind was classic clock mismanagement (dare I say he pulled a Stoops?).

Down 7 with 1:07 to go from their own 25 and they have 2 timeouts. First play is a quick pass to a RB that goes backwards 2 yards and keeps the clock running, burning about 18 seconds. The next play is a completion over the middle, short of the first down. At this point, there are < 40 seconds and the clock is still running. Call a timeout? Nope. On 3rd down, QB scrambles after finding no one open. He clearly has the first down but doesn't slide to kill the clock. Instead, he backtracks a few yards, runs sideways, finally gets the first down before running out of bounds.

So, they're close to tbeir own 40 with about 18 seconds to go. Throw a long pass in completion that burns 9 seconds. Complete a swing pass for about 8 yards with 3 seconds remaining. Hail Mary is batted down. Ballgame.

Final tally: 6 plays for maybe 25 yards and burned up all of the 1:07 they had. Went to the locker room with both timeouts is his pocket. Sound familiar.

Now that his son and Travis Hunter have gone on to the NFL, it may become apparent that Deion isn't that good of a coach.

I've always liked Deion a lot, so I root for him. I will say he's less likeable now than when he was a player.

I lived near Boulder for several years recently. When he came on board you would've thought he was Saban/Belichick/Andy Reid all rolled up into one. Local sports talk folks were convinced CO would be in the playoffs by his second year. Really nauseating.

We'll see this year if he's all that or not, imo.

Yep. No offense to anyone but he was pretty much expected to win multiple titles by this very board. I suspected the Rockies were there before Neon got there. Others had tried.
