A win’s a win, especially in a game that was largely expected to be close. I thought we did some good things today in the running game, and maybe somewhat surprisingly, with our pass rush when we committed to it.
Unfortunately, some of those annoying habits that have plagued our recent seasons cropped up again too. Poor sequencing in our playcalling, a nearly completely dysfunctional passing game, and trouble putting a team away because we started relying on a soft defense with frequent 3 man rushes too soon and let them get some late scores.
Overall, not a disaster, but didn’t do a whole lot to convince me we’ll be competitive in the SEC either. Still quite a bit that needs to improve for that to happen.Comment
