Soon to drop below .500 and never return to winning record. With 9 SEC games in 2026 and beyond. Stick a fork in it, it’s over unless he changes style and tactics.

We are what we are at this point. KENTUCKY has had its place in the SEC. Every few years a decent team, other years good but not good enough to put together enough wins. Stoops tried to change the culture and over the last 2 to 3 years has fallen off. Is is personal issues, who knows, is it money for players, probably. Now with NIL you do not have the roster building long term so you are not even looking at a good team every 3 to 4 years. Poaching will be the norm, UK will poach from lesser teams and from the big boys (guys that did not get the run they wanted). Big boys will poach the best of the best from the middle tier Power 4 teams. So far UK has not had too much of the being poached.Proverbs 25:24👍 1Comment

Seems like a defeatest attitude. If Stoops drops below .500 this year, he's not likely to be coaching here anymore, so he would leave here with a losing record, but I'm sure he will land on his feet somewhere else and possibly get his career record back over .500. Anywho, seems like a defeatest attitude. We have over 50 new faces on the roster this year, many of whom are improvements over what we had last year, so I think that signals he's willing to change and has a renewed attitude to some degree. I don't disagree that Stoops needs to look in the mirror and fix some of the things that have held us back under him. And I'm also in the camp that I kinda hope he leaves after this season, but I hope it's because he managed to get us to a bowl and somebody else takes a flyer on him and he leaves like Cal and Tubby did. But who knows. I don't know what it's going to take to get him back in the good graces of the fanbase. But I'm also not going to have this woe is us attitude and say we'll never compete again and will always be a cellar dweller. If the JMI deal works out along with the revenue sharing, we will be on a more equal and competitive footing with the rest of the conference. Gotta give this team a chance at least before you dog it. Lots of new parts and pieces under the hood. Hopefully they prove you wrong."It don't make much sense that common sense don't make no sense no more" John PrineComment

I was at homing coming in 1977, hasn’t been much since that year. When Coen was here I was optimistic. Maybe I am wrong, probably not. Stoops needs to go to Iowa, they seem to love a Stoops style.
I was referring to Stoops at UK, he may go to D2 and do well. We will see tomorrow at 12:45 ?Comment

He's actually 67-73 officially.
I dont think it matters though. He's definitely peaked regardless👍 1Comment

Plus, the first couple of years, he was left with mid-MAC level talent by Joker. Since year 3, he's been pretty solid. The last couple of years may be a trend. If so, he needs to move on. If he rights the ship this year, I'm willing to be a bit more patient.
Now, he still has his issues: clock management, at least one awful performance every year, conservative play leads to nail-biters almost every week, some undisciplined play, etc. I'll give him this year to turn this thing back in the right direction, but another 4-8 season and he should say goodbye.Comment
