Blanton Collier's football philosophy {offense). Shared from the UK Football Media Guide. Also tells a little about his coaching education/game planning evolution! Great Lakes Naval installation in Illinois was really where he established the philosophy as he watched practices of Coach Paul Brown (who would later become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, and who he would later succeed to that position). The story goes that Brown noticed him leaning over a fence watching practices on a regular basis and called him over to inquire about his interest. That resulted in him adding coaching duties to his military training.
