UT has always seemed like the classic rivalry game to me.....even though you have to win a few to be rivals. Florida is kinda meh....for me, even though I would like to see the Cats shut down those smug fans now and again. Georgia over the years has been often a surprisingly well contested game with some nice wins by the Cats. Spurrier is not unbeatable anymore....until this year when he's likely gonna want to prove what a seventy year old coach can get done.Bama never has bothered me...I'm sure they have more than their share of insufferable jerks for fans, but really never have met any.
Louisville is a crew that depends on who is coaching them. I never could get a good dislike for Strong going. But Petrino.......ahhhhhhhhh yes. A dude I would love to see get walloped...by any team.
Tennessee....living about twenty miles north of the line, I always like to think that the Cats can pull one out against the Orange.

As far as fotball rivalries, it's always been UT for me. That win we had a few years back with our WR as QB was jjust so damn flukey. Those were two really bad teams on the field, though my excitement was through the roof. A change is coming in this rivalry. Butch Jones is a hell of a coach. Stoops is getting there. I feel we are going to see some battles in the near future. Both teams have recruiting momentum and rabid fan bases. And yes, this UK program has a rabid fan base. It's been said that the UK football program is a sleeping giant. I truly feel that CMS is the guy that will awaken it. RELEASE THE KRACKEN!
It's funny how when you have a bad team on the field the wins are always feel that much bigger. I know that's how I've felt the last few years even though they didn't really amount to anything special. I'd like to see the rivalry closer. I'd like to see the East look like the West does this year and be completely up for grabs. The closer the gap from #1 and #7 the better it is for the division.Wish that I was on ol Rocky Top👍 2Comment

It seemed last year the SEC was in flux. The West teams by and large had trouble in their bowl matchups when matched against fairly high ranked teams across the nation. Even though I will lay the Bama loss with Kiffen because.....well, just because. The 'weaker' side in the east, as long as the 'weaker' teams in the west won their bowls. Just a strange season.
I THINK (dangerous, I know) that there will be a little more shuffling this year. I just can't jump on the sudden UT surge to a possible SEC title this or next year. Florida will be a head scratcher until they hit conference play and we can see what they are made of. Auburn will have to be retooling their defense. Reports are Alabama may have the best defense that Saban has ever had, which is really scary to think about. Both the Mississippi schools should drop back a bit, and Arkansas may be getting ready to come alive again. I can't help but think Georgia is the class of the east, which almost guarantees Missou to win it again. If I layed my bets tonight, I would put Bama and Georgia in the championship game.
But college football can be a strange and wonderful thing sometimes.

I think people were negative towards our play calling during games but not towards the staff or what we were doing as a team. I know we all get a little tired of the wait and our time will come comments. I think we will have a great, great year. Will that equal wins, too hard to tell. I know that most of the attitudes on the team are gone by year 3 of a coaching staff. Plus 3 years of our conditioning and strength staff and the attitudes and work ethic that you keep hearing about just make me happy to be a fan of UK even more. We are on our way to some good years here and I hope we can keep the staff together to see this thing blow up.Proverbs 25:24Comment

My orange colored friend, if we grew up together we would be mates. Like your view on SEC football. I hope to see an East division that is a little closer together from 1-7. Any day you can wake up being a fan of one of our SEC teams is a great day.Proverbs 25:24👍 1Comment

I have been looking at the schedule and.... boy, we need at least one SEC win in our first 4 games and none of those will be gimmes. We will then likely only be favored in one of the next 5 games. (EKU)
I hope we see more wins this year. I fear the likely scenario is to be 5 and 6 going into the final game with UL.... ugh.
I really believe we are a much improved and better positioned for success than at any other time in a generation; but no one in this league is backing up. Lets remember the long term improvement plan in mid season when losses start piling up.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... General consensus from the sites I've visited is that UK will be favored in three OOC games, favored against Vandy. That leaves two to get. Believe it or not, at this point, UK is a home team favorite over the Louisville Cards....right now. Florida (wow), Mississippi State and Missouri are the games most 'experts' say are good chances for wins.
Seems like we are considered prohibitive underdogs against Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee. That last one is a head scratcher to me....Tennessee seems still too thin to be getting all the expectation they are getting. Those kids were iron men last year...sometimes they only had five linemen in a game...but still.....
I'm pretty sure we get five. Six should be a solid bet. Seven or more would be a case for me pushing for this crew to get coaching staff of the year trophies.

I'd like to see us go 12-0 every season, but I don't see how anyone (not talking about you, Bill) can, realistically, say they feel confident we'll beat UF, MSU, MIssouri and U of L. UF, with a new coaching staff, is an unknown. State hasn't lost to us since Mullen took over the reins there. Missouri has had our number the past two seasons, and coach Petrino has dominated us during his time at U of L. Like you, Bill, I feel five wins are virtually assured. Beyond that, I'm taking a wait and see approach.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment
