I like it, particularly the blue EZ's. The center of field icon/logo could be more creative, but UK itself is in love with that logo. Meh. As for artificial turf, I've always agreed with Dick Allen, but have to admit today's version(s) is(are) much better. What else can I complain about?

Tennessee fans are in an uproar over the checkboard style of UK new look. They say we copied but as someone named David Cornett tweeted, UK had that syle before Tennessee way back in 1930 at old Stoll Field.

Doesn't remind me of UT at all. Now if they were blue and white checkers, maybe. Other than the square shape, not even close. Get over it Ugly Orange

I like the new field EXCEPT that the UK logo at midfield needs to be DOUBLED IN SIZE with the white border around the letters ALSO BEING MORE BOLD...it's a sad look to me when our own school logo is barely larger than the SEC logos...someone with input to the athletic department PLEASE make this recommendation!

I agree that the center logo needs to be larger and include a white boarder. Both observations seem self evident to me, I don't get why the decision makers on the project don't get it.

I really like something about those end zones.. Can't quite put my finger on it lol.

But yeah Kevin, a lot of UT folks are pretty upset for some reason. I have no idea why I knew that UK had a checker board theme way back when, but I did. I'm not nearly old enough for my father to have even told me that. Must have seen it on the internet or something..

Anyway, I think it looks pretty sharp. Way better than most SEC fields at this point.

I agree the logo should be bigger, but as this is merely a graphic representation, perhaps it will be bigger when it's actually in place. Most of the SEC school logos are minimum 10 yards across, with many being as big as 15 yards or more.

Here's a pic of Stoll Field/McClean Stadium, where I first saw my Wildcats play, with checkerboard design in the end zone. Of course this picture was from 1930 which was a couple of years before I first attended.
