    Couple of Post Georgia Items

First, I wonder why it took us 43 quarters of football this year to decide that maybe it was a good idea to try throwing the ball down the field. Yes, our red zone woes continue, but the offense looked pretty good when we finally opened it up.

Secondly, I just watched CMS presser after the game. I could be reading too much into this, but Barron Brown was mentioned twice, and Stoops sort of downplayed it. He was asked about Brown having 10 catches for 145 yards, and his response was, “Was it that many? I did not realize that.” Then he moved on. Later someone pointed out that 3
of the guys that made catches were freshmen and how that bodes well for the future. CMS responded that he wanted to stay in the present and that he overhyped this year’s team over the summer and did not want to start talking about next year. I wonder if he already knows some of these freshmen may not be here next year.

It was also pointed out that if we could score 25 points per game, which is not a lot in today’s collegiate game, we would be 10-1 right now.

I'm sure we'll lose some of our talented Fr., and I believe Brown will be one of them.

When your head coach doesn't know you put up over 140 receiving, I'd say there's a reason to leave.

Criticizing a coach for not knowing stats in postgame and Turing that into evidence of losing a player is…

          over the top.

I wonder if giving Brown all those targets wasn't an effort to keep him from jumping ship?

Per tweet from Brown he is not leaving. Could be another statement to make sure no tampering going on by say a Saban or Kiffin.

If true, this would be FANTASTIC news. Rich Scang was extremely high on Brown in his post-game interview.

Hope so. Got 1 more game to try to convince some guys they’re going to take a different approach to offense. Keep it up and I think we could beat mighty Loserville

I'm more concerned that he may go to UT rather than Bama or Ole Miss.

The crowd and team effort against Georgia were good.

The game day programming was awful, as usual. The musical choices are awful and appeal to few if any. That silly whistle on third down is really lame. They can and should do better. Unless they think that whistle gives them an advantage by making opposing players giggle at us, or will prompt visiting teams to break out rainbow flags and start dancing or something, they really need to ditch it.

UK's gameday set up and programming is dead last by far in the conference with the exception of Vanderbilt. Content on the scoreboards, operation of the replay screen, music, attempts to fire up the crowd - all of it is really poorly done, especially compared to everyone else in the conference. It's not even close. If you watched South Carolina's thrashing of Tennessee earlier this month, you saw that you don't have to be Alabama or LSU to do things in a way that really get the stadium going.

Have you noticed how appallingly dirty the guts of the stadium are? Tons of bird crap and is that hay? Insulation? I have questions about that.

I agree about the coal mine whistle.

As for the music, I have always thought they did that pretty well. What would you suggest they play or do differently?

Yes, I agree, it could use a cleaning. And then they should put blue paint on far more of the surfaces, instead of gray, cream, black, etc.

There were a couple of songs at that game, like others, that were awful and now I can’t recall them. Just pick more songs that rock it out and fire people up (of which they do play some) and ditch the lame stuff. And maybe don’t feel compelled to fire up the sound system all game long. Pick and choose. Don’t wear it out.
