My hesitancy at picking up a talent like Robinson is the same as my being only luke-warm about Josh Ali’s decision to return. Yes, these would be our two best receivers, for sure. And that is FANTASTIC news. And I should be excited. But, I am just really anxious to see what the other dozen WRs can do, and I am concerned that they may all get placed on the back burner.

But, I’ll get over that. If he wants to come, I’d be happy to have him. What an immediate boost that would be for our offense!
I'm with you on being anxious to see what the other kids can do, but you can't not recruit over kids if you get the opportunity to. We play in the SEC. If kids aren't developing and ready to make an impact you've got to find guys who are. It's essentially no different than the JUCO route. There's no doubt in my mind having starting receivers in Ali and Robinson is a better situation to have than having guys with limited game experience and potential. If we land Robinson we have a really good shot at having a special season because he's the playmaker we've been lacking.

Trying hard to see any development with our wrs. Being in a run first offense makes it so. We have good talent at the position. I can't wait to see what we really have.

Per an article, on Sea Of Blue, Robinson is considering Purdue as well as UK. They say it's about 50-50.

I know I am in the minority, but I am really having a hard time with this one. The pros are obvious. Robinson is a great talent and would give us a proven play-maker at a position of apparent need. He would energize the offense and be fun to watch.

But, does he really want to be here? Would he be coming for all the wrong, selfish reasons? Yes, he could touch the ball a LOT at Purdue, but then, he touched the ball a LOT at Nebraska. Neither is going to win a lot of games and both are in the Big 10. I live two hours from Purdue and six hours from Lexington. West Lafayette to Lexington is not a short, easy trip. So, he would not be all that close to home.

Plus, he already jilted us once. (I once had a girlfriend like that. It was a pretty chaotic time of my life. But, I digress.)

if he comes, I guess that would be great. If he doesn’t, I’ll get over it pretty quickly.

I could see him at lots of places before UK. I know what he said about closer to home...but that doesnt carry much.
lots of eggs in this basket...apparently his dad is heavily involved in stating how the kid should be usedbeand that normally doesnt play real well. Coming in to a brand new OC/QB scenario....I dunno.
love to have him, wont end the season if he doesnt

If his dad is really that way, coach Stoops would be better off letting him go somewhere else, in my opinion.

I'm basing that on some reports that his dad was very vocal that his son was being used as an all purpose back and asked to carry the ball...he weighs less than 180 and his father was concerned about injury.
