It's really a strong possibility. We've all had frustrations with Grans playcalling...but four bowl games with him, none with anyone else.

Who knows? He could have called his last UK game against the team he will head coach next year.....South Carolina has done worse....and they are going to be a bit cash strapped looking for their next head guy. Plus Satterfield has claimed he said no, and others seem to waiting for two big dogs...Texas and Michigan...to make their moves.

Glad to see these seniors go out with a win. This wasn’t a fun season, but we thought for a few days that there wasn’t gonna be a season. This was a throwaway year and there aren’t any conclusions to draw.

I’m not privy to behind the scenes stuff so I don’t have an informed opinion on Eddie Gran. His play calling was subpar this year but I’m not sure replacing him is gonna improve matters.

Fun game to be at. Glad we won. Nice to see the TE get into the offense.

Fwiw, Rose said he thinks coach Gran has done a very good job this season.

Since there are no set minimum experience requirements, I doubt this is for an OC. Surely to goodness coach Stoops wouldn't consider hiring someone to be an OC that doesn't have OC experience.

I'm of the opinion that getting rid of Gran isn't going to change the offense. That lies at the feet of Stoops.

With that said, I'm going to throw this season out the window. We all know how trying it was on these guys.

                Good win.

We went 4-4 against our original schedule. Take that with what we can assume would've been a 4-0 non conference schedule and we are an 8-4 football team this year.

Crazy when you think about it. After the game last night I said we should've been 6-4 this season. Ifs and buts...

I agree, BH. Or maybe even 7-3. I felt, at the time, and still feel the Auburn game was a very winnable game. I think we definitely should have beaten Ole Miss and we just gave the Missouri game away with our uninspired play.

I agree. Still, what bothers me is that we didn't beat anyone good. All of our wins came against teams that are absolute dumpster fires right now.

6-4 should've been where we ended up this year. That loss to Ole Miss and the abomination at Missouri really sunk the season in my mind. In a traditional year that probably woulda gotten us to 10-2.

As it was, I think this year at 7-5 or 8-4 which is probably where we woulda ended up is acceptable. And we've come a long way because that's the floor now.

I guess the only three teams on our schedule that are very good are Bama, UF and UGa. and I didn't really expect to beat any of them. Looking back on it though, if we had played good sound fb, we probably had a decent shot at beating UGa.

This team should have beaten Ol Miss and Missouri. I never expected wins against Georgia or Alabama, and Florida is often just a heartbreaker.
Legitimately the team should be 6-4. The Auburn game bothered me as well....almost like when that hideous call hit the cats the wheels just weren't straight.

BUT talent wise, there should have been 6 wins. And it's been back a while since UK was able to have 6 conference wins.
