    Practice Reports

The team started practicing in full pads so I figured we needed a place to post what we are hearing. Apparently true freshman DB Vito Tisdale told Cedric Dort he was going to get two interceptions in practice and he went out and did it. A number of players have talked about how impressive Tisdale is in the secondary.

When Brad White was asked about leadership from the players he mentioned Boogie Watson. He said he'll run through the drills first and go stand next to White and help coach all of the guys running the drill after him.

According to Stoops Terry is just as fast as before the injury when he decides to tuck it and run.

Also reading sophomore Olineman Nick Lewis has made a "huge jump" this off season.

As mentioned in another thread, Beau Allen has been really impressive so far.

Vito Tisdale is still getting praise.

Allen Dailey and Bryce Oliver have been getting praise at the WR spot.

One thing that stood out was that I saw it mentioned the offensive line was having trouble getting to their spots. We've got a top five line in the country, IMO so if our defensive front is making it difficult on them that's a GREAT sign.

Something to make note of, Auburn didn't have a single offensive lineman on any of the preseason SEC teams. It could be a long day for those guys against our defense in week one.

Thanks for these. Nervous as all get out waiting for the season to start. It would be a shame if I couldn't see the best team in my lifetime because the rug got pulled out from under them.

Beau Allen apparently dropped a 40-50 bomb to Ernest Sanders who made a contested catch for a touchdown. I don't believe either see the field this year but it's great to hear positive things from the true freshmen!

Stoops said we came out of the scrimmage completely healthy, which is great news.

Nick Lewis is down about 30 pounds since arriving on campus. He's currently about 320 and looks good. There's been some chatter of him making big strides in the off season. Surely the weight loss has increased his mobility, which is a big help at the tackle position.

This team could blow up this year. We have legit talent everywhere and not a whole lot of seniors. Our punter is first team All American for cripe's sake. Check this out.....

We've got 11 starters who are seniors and are probably losing Kinnard as he'll likely be a first round pick. But, we could see two or three of those seniors return with this year not counting towards their eligibility. Next year is the year we will see just how good our depth andb development is. Especially on the offensive line.
