I don't see how this is safer than playing Louisville.

Let's see, drop two cupcakes and add either Bama or LSU and Ole Miss. We better be good this season if we expect to go bowling.

It’s not. But it minimizes lawsuits of other OOC games being canceled and being selective. From my understanding, the best out of all the OOC buy games is if the conference changes the schedule then there’s no or limited liability. (I’m NOT a legal beagle, so this is just what I’m hearing on the media. I’m am also NOT connected to any sources on this.)

This is going to be a brutal season, physically, playing 10 SEC teams for everyone. Depth will become increasingly important as the season progresses. I'm making a big assumption that one of the teams doesn't get scratched if the virus hits a player on one of the teams requiring a two week quarantine. I'm going to approach this on a one game at a time basis. I'm also assuming that schools will put their teams in some sort of "bubble" to keep everyone virus free. I know these kids want to play will follow the guidelines. So there is hope that a least a game gets played ... maybe?

My guess is that they will play 2-3 games and then cancel. Hope I’m wrong. Too many opportunities for a college kid to contract this virus and then it spirals out of control in terms of infection, a la Hazard.

well.....there it is. five and five would look good with this schedule. Of course, unless things get freaky that won't be bowl eligible. Lotsa folks wanted to get rid of the 'easy' schools. Welp, be happy....here we go.

me neither. As it stands right now, playing Louisville is a lot safer than Florida or South Carolina. Has an opportunity to be a season to remember, or a season to remember for all the wrong reasons.

I hope we see football, but there's no guarantee the first game will happen.

There must be some kind of financial dispute with the ACC.

It could be that the other SEC schools didn't want to deal with finding an in state non-conference opponent just so 4 schools could keep their games with the ACC?

Maybe UGA has a bad taste in their mouth from all those years of GT O-line diving at their knees, chop blocking, and generally being unsafe, untalented hacks? USC tired of getting blasted by Clemson?

I'm sure it has to do with money. This way the SEC keeps all TV money for themselves..

I don't think they're going to get anymore than two or three games in, but if this holds and we make it to the end, I'd say that winning six games would be a huge accomplishment.

This is going to be brutal.

The SEC Only schedule I think is about keeping SEC Dollars only in the SEC for this year. Already going to be a tight budget year for all the sports teams in the SEC and if you keep the monies within the conference then each team has the max to spend on their athletics budgets. Just my 2 cents. But makes sense to play Texas AM than Louisville.
