Report: Springtime college football 'becoming more and more likely' amid coronavirus

Earlier this week, ESPN's Chris Fowler reported that the idea of the 2020 college football season beginning in February 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic was "gaining momentum."

Then you have Harvard "professors" saying we need to social distance until 2022. So if Harvard follows through with their lunatic logic, they are playing zero sports until 2022. Just waiting on the next idiot from another college to say the same thing. Then we have "steam" and there won't be any sports until then. Lord I hope not.

This is very likely going to be the case in some regard unless a vaccine or immunity testing becomes available next year.

Louisville’s AD has said they won’t be playing in empty stadiums, which is...not a great sign for college football.

              This doesn't sound good.

Anybody who is expecting a college football season should prepare to be sorely disappointed.

I don't want to face that possibility, but I'm afraid you may very well be right.

I think there will be a season it will just not start in August.

The heart of college football competing with March Madness (assuming it happens) is gonna be weird/awesome.

If you have to play w/o fans or limit attendance, why bother?

My opinion is, we will have a season but it will start and end late. In the beginning fan attendance will be limited but increase some each game until all are allowed. Conference football and basketball committees will work together and work out the games when they lap each other. Basketball may work the same way because the practices will start late also.
