I went to that game and watched JoePa field goal us to death.
Having Benny Snell and Josh Allen crush them was easily the most satisfying bowl win of my lifetime.

Can't argue. I also loved the Belk Bowl because we did not deserve to win that game and we stole it in the last minute.
Nothing is more satisfying to me than Kentucky winning a game that it doesn't deserve to win.Comment

Back in 98 before the Outback bowl, an employee of the Mother's made a big deal about how KY should never expect to beat Penn State in football. (She was from somewhere in the northeast).

#1 overall pick DE Courtney Brown
#2 overall pick LB LaVar Arrington
2nd round pick LB Bryan Scott
3rd round pick CB David Macklin
3rd round pick FS Bhawoh Jue
3rd round pick SS James Boyd
4th round pick LB Brandon Short
5th round pick DE Brad Scioli
The Wisconsin team Kentucky beat in 1984 had four first round picks, three second round pick, three fourth round picks, and 24 players drafted overall.
I think the Whalen injury you mention was in the 1999 Music City Bowl against Syracuse. Syracuse could not stop him until he was injured. His departure really impacted the offense and made the difference in that game.👍 1Comment

I can't argue or disagree with anything posted here.
I was going to mention the 2006 win over Clemson. That Clemson team had been ranked in the top 10 at one point and was favored by more than 10 points. The game had a lot of thrilling moments: big Micah Johnson barreling in for a TD, the sucessful fake punt deep in Kentucky territory, the long TD pass to Demoreo Ford, the very sunny and warm weather in December, the first bowl win in 22 years with painfully close misses in between, the satisfaction of seeing that team go from where it had been in 2003, 2004, 2005 and early 2006 to that level - all of it was really satisfying and pleasant.
The 1984 win against #20/#17 Wisconsin was thrilling. The win against Florida State was fun. The last two bowl games were a blast, though. It's difficult to pick a favorite.

Last year's bowl. Because, when you get to be my age, the last one is the one you remember the longest.Philippians 4:11-4:13👍 2Comment

We haven't had enough of the bowl wins to have a ton to pick. The Clemson win was huge. I was actually more pleased with THIS year's win cause we DID NOT have the all time rusher and defensive player here. Just a huge gut check victory over a good program.Comment

My favorite was the 76 Peach Bowl beat the tar out of them.
