Could be. But in big time sports when the bidding begins...contracts mean nothing. If the grass is greener on the other side they'll buy out your contract and pay you more.

Let's face it ....todays contract is perfect until this afternoon's comes.
somebody somewhere someday will offer Vince an OC slot at a major p5 program. Maybe before fall comes.
Maybe before spring.

Kentucky is in a nice spot financially today because of SEC money. Question is how do you spend it. Vince has been here for the long haul....so his money is justified, and he IS the Coordinator.
got a lotta other guys that have been packing a load. Clinkscale for sure, but look what Schlarmann has built while taking cancer treatments.
Need to keep those dollars rolling in. Cant be Dollar Store forever...gotta get uptown with the monies.

I know people are excited, but I'm not sure everyone really understand just how big of a win this was for our program. We are getting there, but we are also one or two bad seasons away from losing all momentum. With the Big Dawg rolling through Ohio and Michigan we can at least guarantee we will have the talent to keep it going. Once we get another few eight-ten win seasons under our belt losing coaches won't be as bad because we will have seven or eight years of success and be more attractive to coaches, but it would've hurt if he left now.
