Recruiting rankings are inaccurate. Some highly ranked kids end up not being that good. Some lowly ranked kids end up as stars.
That said, they have value as a flawed but general indicator of how good a roster might be. It isn't coincidence that most of the teams that land the highest ranked recruiting classes do well with those players, and most teams that land more lowly classes don't break into the tops of major conferences.
Here's how 24/7 ranked, at position, what I roughly recall as the two deep for the team that won the Citrus Bowl over Penn State that led to a 10-3 record. I know there are mistakes in here. For instance, Young was injured.
