I’m actually thrilled to see the Cowbell University lose. Not to Loserville Community College, but nice to see them lose. And I almost always cheer SEC.

After the Gators took care of business against Va. (36-28), and Miss. St. lost to UofL (38-28), the SEC is now 3-1 in bowl games.

WKU beat Western Michigan 23-20 on a fg with no time on the clock. Western tried a Hail Mary, and Western Michigan had 12 men on the field.

That game was wild.....Glad WKU won

And it’s Cowbell University that spit the bit and was only bowl eligible b/c their big brother school of lower learning not closing out the egg (yes a chicken ovary sealed in the grit of gravel) bowl game. OH how I hate missi state. If they weren’t bowl eligible the SEC would be undefeated. OH the possibilities. 🤣

He was injured rather than suspended, almost broke his orbital bone.

I'm probably in the minority (as I am from Big 10 country) but I hope every every other SEC school loses their bowl game given it is UKs competition (especially in recruiting) Why root for them to help their recruiting? I have extra distain for SEC East schools sans Vandy, I definitely can't root for any of them (unless I dislike their opponent more like Ohio St.)

You know, this COULD have been — maybe SHOULD have been — AT LEAST our third year in a row of double-digit wins. Forget about MSU & USC. Sure, we handle both of them easily in a rematch, but on those 2 days, they were better than us. However, at the time, we definitely should have beaten UF and UT. That gives us 10 WINS this year. And, two years ago we lost to Ole Miss on a miracle catch with seconds to play, we lost to UF (again) on a questionable penalty behind the play that cost us a game-wing chip shot FG and to Northwestern on a failed 2-point conversion.

But, let’s toss out the coulda, shoulda, woulda. The point is, 10-win seasons are not beyond the reasonable grasp of this program at this point in time.

Keep recruiting and developing like we are and 10 win seasons will come. We should have 11 wins this year.

To me your conference strength reflects your strength. If other schools are beating your conference then how good were you? If conference doesn't matter let's just join the ovc and go undefeated.. Even then you won't be selected for a playoff game. Why? Because your conference sucks. 😀

I'm with you. In basketball who cares if we win the conference 3 of every 4 years if the conference is crap. And historically in football while we've been middle to bottom of the pack is not quite so bad if it's always the strongest conference. And it's that much more impressive if we keep climbing the ladder like we hope to.

I enjoy being part of the conference that has really proven it's standing in the last 25 years. Any other conference who claims supremacy any more is kidding themselves.

Speaking of which, the two games, currently in progress, involving SEC teams (Bama-Mich. and Auburn-Minn.) are still very much undecided.
