Normally Bama beats everyone so badly, it doesn't matter.

I love how Gran kept the defense loose with those two passes.

Love this team and this program.

Notice how few procedural penalties we have anymore? Notice how few missed tackles and blown assignments? This is a WELL COACHED team.

It looked like the wheels might come after USC and rather than disintegrate, the team came together, fought like crazy, and had an outstanding finish to the season. That is the new Kentucky Football!

I would add that if 7 wins is the new injury marred floor for our program, we are in GREAT shape for the future. Football success in the SEC is precious and fragile. Love it while you have it.

I understand the impulse to play the what-if game, but it could’ve gone the other way pretty easily and we could’ve been 4-8 or something like that.

You old timers taking the pessimistic view should step back and think how many stretches of Kentucky football you’ve seen that compare to this one we’re in. I’d bet the answer is none. Stoops has accomplished a lot here and he’s setting up nicely to continue on if he sticks around.

I’m glad Mitch found a coordinator and gave him space to learn to sit in the big chair. It paid off.

I don't see myself as being pessimistic, but rather as discussing what I perceive to be missed opportunities.

did not get to the stadium till right at kick off. went into the restroom to go to the bathroom. I was in there longer than usual because I had so much outer clothing to deal with plus I wanted my hands to be totally dry. I don’t know how many UL women were in there in the stalls, but while I was in there they spelled out cards twice. Never came out of the stalls. Satterly will learn that this is a nasty rivalry. I dislike it immensely. Did not say one word to my hubby when I got home.

Good post. This is why I felt so confident we would win Saturday, our guys are fundamentally sound, play tough and they don't give up. In pretty stark contrast to the other team, too. Plus they are just very fun to watch, especially for a team that literally does one thing on offense all the time.

We've won 31 games over the last four years. The last time that was done was 50-53 with Bear Bryant. He won a program best 33 over four years. Brooks had 30 from 06-09 no other coach has had more than 28.
