Please don’t ask me to get excited about UTM. We shouldn’t be playing them under any circumstances. It’s UTM , their program is not even close to being D1, not close. I don’t feel I am being negative just noting that if wins against UTM’s of the world are necessary to become bowl eligible then it means very little, now a win against UL would be much more meaningful to me. Sue me fellas beating the hapless Skyhawks does’nt do it for me

Florida played them earlier in the season. Alabama played Western Carolina today. Auburn played Samford today. Tennessee played Georgia State earlier in year, a program that is early in its existence. i love to play nothing more than Power Five programs, but we’re no world beaters. Playing these teams also doesn’t do it for me either and probably why I seldom attend or watch those games with interest. If others are paying some breathers, than I guess we should as well. Heck, if we want to have some real fun, let’s look at the basketball programs, and not just UK. Just saying.

Very good post and you hit the nail right on it's head. Becoming bowl eligible under the circumstances this team has faced this season means a lot to not only the players, but the program too. A lot of players played today including a RB that looked very promising. And, 3 QB's got some snaps. Top it off with the fact that these youngsters will have 13 (I think that's the right number) more practices because of the Bowl game. Yeah, it means a lot.

Not to mention in another week we get to discuss whether our best player should play in a bowl game!

It's 15 practices, which is HUGE for a young team like us. It's essentially another spring session.

Very cold and uncomfortable on the stands, but the beat down made it fun. Team was having a lot of fun on the sidelines. Good win!

The Mrs. and I were there for every second.

We never miss a game, unless there is some rare scheduling conflict. Most of the season ticket people who sit around us were there until halftime.

Our usher suggested we move down to the covered section halfway through the third quarter as most people had done, but that meant giving up our stadium seats so... even though it was out of the rain, we were colder undercover. Enough people had left so that I could stand through the 4th and jump up and down to help keep warm. We got dinner at Drake's by the fireplace after and that made the evening.

You only get so many chances to see home football and even fewer chances to see a win. I don't mind beating down an overmatched team and we had a lot of fun. I think the staff have done a great job this year, and I think if we can get the QB situation squared away, we might be really good next year.

I think this is partly why Stoops reportedly told FSU thanks but no thanks. I believe Stoops sees that he and the staff have built this program to have the potential to do things this school hasn't done in a long time in the coming years.

Plus, it sounds like FSU wasn't willing to pay Stoops what it would cost to get him away from UK, which I somewhat expected.
