3 dropped tds and 2 missed fgs. Even in a loss, I saw defensive gains late in that 2nd half. I think we need to blitz more. We have some speed. Hard to blitz though when you play a zone coverage. Just let the guys play. The zone has been TERRIBLE for us so far this year. Even EMUs qb ate us alive when we went to it. Just let the guys grow up some Brad White. Play man and get cteative with some blitzes. When we did blitz today we did some good things, but still need to wrap up when he have the guy dead to rights behind the LOS.Isaiah 5:20Comment

Sort of what I expected tbh with this team...but who knows what would be happening had Terry not gotten hurt. That may have had a teamwide effect.
But just generally I don't think Kentucky football can overcome what we lost last year and just carry on without a hitch. We lost two of the greatest the program has ever seen plus the entire secondary.
I kept thinking we would win 6, maybe 7, and that'd be a good season. We were absolutely leveled by guys leaving.

Poor defensive backfield will put every game left in SEC in question. Having ZERO place kicking puts tremendous pressure on an offense already struggling. UTM is only guaranteed W left on schedule. We might win six but based on what I see we could easily just win 4Comment

Just a cautionary note, for those counting UT as an automatic win, don't. The best team we've had since 1977 lost to a mediocre Tn. team last season. I've been following UK sports since 1954 and, no matter who is playing for the Vols and who is coaching them, I can't recall ever seeing them ever lay down for us.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

To be a Debbie Downer, Vanderbilt always seems to give us a knock down ugly game.
I don't see any automatic wins for this UK football team. It has some talent.....maybe overall as good as any Ive seen but maybe a handful.....
but right now they don't seem to have their head screwed on right.
CMS has always, always played the game with the emotion level cranked way up there...and that IS part of it, but sometimes it seems just borderline off the edge of the table.
Maybe loss of focus is what I'm trying to say. Whether that's Kash's shenanigans, Bowdens tweets, Stenburg's nasty boy image.....dunno. And that includes a couple former players that seemed to have a personal foul waiting on them the minute they hit the field.
Truth is this team may have the right to be confident with the talent it does have, it doesn't have the right to be ****************y....cause it's really proved nothing.
I'm thinking now what Matt stated early on that 7 wins would be a really, really, really good season after all the losses the program has had in personnel is the most solid prediction any of us had about this team.
First three quarters against Florida were good. About a quarter of this game against Mississippi State was good. Everything else wasn't any good at all anywhere.Comment

I'd be good with 7 wins for this team honestly. What is driving me crazy is the coaching staff timidness and its seeming inability to change the attitude of the team either for good or bad.
Also this is not a knock on any specific player but the choice for at least one of the team captains needs to be re-evaluated if he doesn't start acting like a leader. I understand talking crap but cheap shots have no place coming from a leader of the team.Comment

I agree with both you guys. Kash certainly went all in with his version. Looking at the vid as coach stated doesn't support Kash comments. Unfortunately it causes a different look at some previous issues.
this kind of bothers me worse than the losses.
