UK won this game in a way they usually lose;Penalty that makes for one extra play then the winning TD. Unbelievable win. Defense won it. They did not allow 1st down the entire 2nd half. It's been a while since I have seen that in any game not to mention UK doing it. This is a championship defense no doubt. The offense, welllllll............ its just awful to say the least. Except for that last drive they were as bad as I have ever seen. I do think a lot of it is the coaches just aren't putting what they have in a position to succeed. They have enough talent on offense to put more than one TD a game on the scoreboard. If this stays like this the rest of the season Stoops will have no choice but to change OC's after the season.

But this win gives UK five in the SEC. First winning season in conference since 1977. Next week sets up the biggest game in my lifetime for UK football. A win next week puts UK in the SEC Championship game against most likely Alabama. Pretty heady stuff for fans like me who have watched nearly 50 years of no chance at a championship.
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

1977 team was 6-0 in conference and 10-1 overall. That was the last time UK had a winning conference record.

If that were the intent then yes I agree. And Wilson was certainly not spectacular either. But was a far cry from horrible.

I actually thought Wilson was okay before they took him out. I really didn't understand taking him out in that situation.

Offensively we just couldn't run the ball. I don't care how good your quarterback is, if you can't run the ball it's going to be brutal. Bennie was just dancing around too much maybe? I don't know what was wrong, but he just wasn't himself. (Obviously.)

The defense, though. The defense put up a masterpiece. Josh Allen might be the greatest to ever play at Kentucky.

Benny may be banged up. I remember him hurting his leg or ankle in the Vandy game. I thought giving Wilson a breather was a good move. He over threw several and missed Bowden being open on the ball that was intercepted.

That might be a part of Rose being the back on what at the time was the most important play of the game.

Getting Wilson a breather might have been a good idea. But I think it's clear that Hoak is not the answer.

With Hoak again failing to impress, then Terry leading the game winning drive, my guess is that debate is over for the season in the eyes of the coaches. Don't look for any more experimentation. I just hope Terry's confidence is up and he builds on it big-time.

re the run. Everyone has tape on us and our passing has been so poor that defenses are loading up and daring us to throw. Also Mizzou’s d line is the best part of their d.

WRT Terry, to quote Cal, “you don’t have to be great for us to win, but you can’t be god awful.”

That would be ideal. Hope this sets him up for the game of his life against UGA.

Terry Wilson is the quarterback with no doubts. Hoak is a backup that can come in and give some needed breaks.

Lol....maybe the staff should just use the two minute drill Wilson ran about six times every game

I'm sure I'm wrong, but I thought a DB forced him out.
