Prayers for Wildcat Rick! "UPDATE"

While talking with Rick this morning, he told me it was OK to put this out to everybody. For some months we have known that Rick has a cancerous tumor on one of his kidneys. After several tests and delays, he will have a procedure on 10/4 at UK Hospital to remove the tumor. Of course this is very concerning to Rick and the few that knew. Rick is a very Special Friend to all of us WCN'ers, and I'm sure you all will join me in praying for him.

I had planned to come to the tailgate today to gather everybody around Rick to join and agree together in asking God to Bless Rick during this time. Due to my own health issues, i cannot make it today. So, I ask each of you to encourage our friend, and pray for him.

Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. You are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, All Knowing and All Powerful Holy God. We trust in You, and we humbly ask You to walk with Rick through this procedure and give him Your Peace. We ask You to guide every hand that touches Rick, and may their decisions be guided by You. We ask You to send The Holy Spirit into the room, to cleanse it from anything that could harm Rick in any way. Thank You Lord for always being there whether we call on you or not. I also pray for every person reading this, and ask You to Bless them with Your Presence. And, we'll be careful to give You all the Praise for whatever happens. In the Powerful Name of Jesus, Amen.

I just found this and it is the day of the surgery. It may be going on as I write. We pray for Rick and all who are involved. We know he is in good hands and will receive the best of care and the presence of our maker.

Bless him, Lord, and give him a positive attitude and make him unafraid.

Yes. I'm not sure how the confusion happened, but Rick's pre-op was yesterday and his procedure is Monday. Please continue to pray.
