Kentucky moved up from #14 to #12 in the AP poll, passing Oregon and West Virginia.
Just ahead of Kentucky at #11 is Ohio State, who hosts hapless Nebraska next Saturday.
SEC:
#1 Alabama
#4 LSU (no way should Notre Dame be ranked ahead of LSU)
#7 Georgia (should not be behind Texas, or probably Michigan either)
#9 Florida
#12 Kentucky
#16 Texas A&M (should be ahead of Washington)
If Florida beats Georgia and Kentucky beats Missouri, Kentucky will likely be the higher ranked team in the Georgia at Kentucky game.
Kentucky also moved from #17 to #14 in the coaches poll, passing Penn State, Oregon and NC State.
The last 2.5 games have been the most uninspiring for a team close to the top 10 as I have ever seen. Wee need SOME sortof passing game to get to where we wanna be. I don't wanna hear about the wind last night because Shurmur seemed to do something in it. Wilson is NOT our answer.

While I would love to see a hundred fifty yds or so passing, every pass takes it out of Snell's hands.
Rich Brooks told us years ago defensive play was the most exciting part of football.

7 teams in the top 25, with Auburn still receiving some votes. South Carolina would beat some ranked teams such as Virginia, Syracuse, Fresno State, Utah State, Houston, and UCF. So would unranked Washington, Oregon and Oklahoma State. Vanderbilt would beat some of those ranked teams.
Some of the talking heads and rating guru's would rather eat broiled cauliflower and Brussel sprouts than rate KY in the top 10. Straight ... with no cheese, seasonings, or sauces. Makes no difference until it makes a difference and that is at the end of the regular season games.
I think the first playoff poll comes out Tuesday night. It will be interesting to see where UK is on that list. There will be at least two SEC teams in the top four,Alabama and LSU. Georgia could sneak in there too but will probably be on the outside. For UK to get into the playoffs they will probably need to win out. Which means beating Alabama in the SEC championship. But we are long way away from that. But its good we can even think about that at this time of year.
The idea that we could even discuss a CHANCE at being in the playoff is surreal to me. I keep waiting for Rod Serling to jump out and laugh at me. One game at a time , we beat UGA AND UT( never a given regardless of records) I will allow myself to think about it. Hey maybe LSU pulls off a miracle and beats Bama, if we got to an SEC championship against them we could beat them. Then we would have to see wether the Comittee would pick us over a one loss Bama or Mich or O ST something I highly doubt but hey I never though such speculation even possible so who knows.
