    Wrong nick name

The starting QB came to the program with the nickname Touch down Terry. He hasn't lived up to that moniker.

I am calling him Turnover Terry, after this performance.

I don't know why his performance, yesterday, came as a big surprise to people. He turned the ball over something like 13 times in 11 games last season at a Junior College.

And until he corrects the more than obvious lack of proper passing technique, he will continue to turn it over. With him in the game, I would play a zone defense and just wait until he slings it.

It'll be a challenge for Hinshaw and Gran. I'm sure that Hinshaw worked on his mechanics during the summer/fall.....but when the excitement and nerves and speed of the real game set in, folks tend to go back to pre-training.
Both Stoops and Gran spoke of running 'half' options on the RPO...they had said almost every play had the run/pass option, so I believe thateans only half the plays will have option now.
Whether that works and in some way makes these guys more comfortable or not remains to be seen.
One game and it being the first....I guess I'm being too critical of either young man.

The team seems to be stronger than last year. Hope it is.

I do wonder with the running strength Kentucky has shown if part of the simplification MAY be a play action package to Conrad/Snell/ Rose. The end game play that locked it was play action to Conrad.

Even though this isn't the 'cannon downfield' many were screaming for, it can be effective if done correctly.

No,no no....It's right. It just means touchdowns to the other team.

Lots of QBs have had good college careers with poor throwing mechanics. Tebow is the ultimate example. But if Wilson doesn't make quicker reads and protect the ball better Stoops and Gran better recognize it quickly or this season will be in trouble. I don't think it's unrealistic he could get more comfortable with a little more experience but we can't give him half the season if he doesn't show progress. Not with other options on the sideline.

And in year six of the Stoops era the empty seats in the opener suggest we better look respectable in the swamp this week. Haven't beaten them in 30-some years so I'm not saying we have to beat them on the road or the season's over but we can't go down and lose by 50. They are likely back on the rise but they're nowhere near where Spurrier or Meyer had them. We MUST play inspired football this week! I do NOT want to see apathy around this program again. Yes we've been to some lower level bowls lately--no one is saying we're not better than the late Curry years or the Joker years. But empty seats suggest we need a reason to believe this week.

I only saw two games I think this weekend that didn't have empty seats....the Bama game and Miami.

The Tennessee game......lol....the announcers we're talking about a ''packed house". Looked about 40k short of that to me. But then again Neyland fits what?? 110,000?

The UT game was in Charlotte, not Neyland. And, the empty seats at Kroger Filed have always been common for “lesser”games.
