As an aside, if I remember correctly, Ernie Lewis was so impressed by Billy "White Shoes" Johnson (the first player in the NFL to wear white shoes) that he began wearing them in high school. I think he is thought to be the first h.s. player to wear them.

It's 10 1/2 days as I type this. I can't believe kick-off is almost here. Where did the summer go? I am definitely getting pumped up to see what our guys can do. A lot of questions will get answered fairly soon. Might need to get a prediction thread going soon.

I thought about starting a prediction thread a few days ago, but I decided to wait until closer to the first game to, hopefully, make sure there are no serious injuries to key personnel.
