I love those 80s uniforms Chennault is in. I'd love to see the team wear those as throwbacks someday.
The black outlines on the 90s uniforms actually worked, but I think that'll forever be associated with horrible Bill Curry era teams, so I wouldn't be eager to see it again.
A few more:
45 Lamont Smith
45 Marty Moore....a couple extra

I believe that last photograph is from the 1977 Kentucky at Baylor game. It was played in horrible heat for which the team was unprepared, and the squad had to witness star RB Rod Stewart suffer a terribly painful, near grotesque broken leg. That ended up being Kentucky’s only loss that season. Kentucky defeated #4 Penn State at Penn State and but for that loss (which was a terrible scheduling decision) would have been the only undefeated team in the country in 1977. Notre Dame was awarded the national championship despite losing to Ole Miss, who in turn lost five SEC games that year. Alabama finished ranked #2 despite beating that same Ole Miss team 34-13. The bias in poll voting back then was out of control, very regionally unbalanced and too hung up on historical reputation. Baylor’s only losses that year were to ranked teams, all on the road.Last edited by Old School; 07-18-2018, 11:21 AM.👍 1Comment
