I agree with ambiguous FB posters.....just a bunch of look at me ..give me attention hogs. ( pray for me for an undisclosed reason)...yeah right.
Randall Cobb was a star, after he got on the field in college, not before. He wasn't ranked anywhere near the "Can't miss" ranking of Bowden. The young man played quite a bit. Not sure, exactly, what he has to complain about.
I wouldn't compare UT to UK in any respect. They have had coaching hires that didn't pan out and they keep swinging to see if they can get it right. UK has been very quiet on the arrest record front. Hell fire, the team gets one Public intoxication and half the UK fans on this board wanted the kid nailed to a cross. Just imagine if you lived in Knoxville and rooted for the big orange. No,I sure don't think Stoops is soft on "off the field" discipline. Yes, I think the whole staff is soft, when it comes to "on the field" discipline.
I can't blame AJ Rose's Dad for tweeting about the OC. I do think the OC was plain stupid for utilizing only two backs. They sure didn't have the 1-2 punch they had last season. Yes, Snell put up great numbers. But, besides Snell, there wasn't too much to celebrate about the offensive numbers.
As for the rumors of there being a high level of discontent on the team, I sure as hell hope so. They should have won 8 to 9 games this year and not got trucked by UL. If the team is happy, that is not a good sign at all.Comment

I have a problem with social media used for about anything, but like some of you I remember these are kids who have known social media nearly their whole lives. That's what they do, and maybe it's just blowing off steam after a terrible loss. Competitors never like to lose.John 3:3

Do we actually know that he said this about Kentucky football? Or is it all speculation?
If he is talking about quitting, maybe we would be better off without the selfish attitude. From what was said Badet was a me first kind of guy and it was good for the locker room when he left. If Bowden is this selfish and is going to whine on social media and stomp when he doesn't get his way then bye-bye.
All that being said, if I am Bowden or Conrad I am leaving Lexington for Christmas break and never going back.Comment

Players moan and groan a lot of the time. Now it's done on twitter or social media. Everything goes out ... from stomach aches to bad food to failed romances to .... just fill in the blanks. It's what they do today. Kids are constantly taking their psychological pulses. Read and react at your own risk. It's called being a millennial. Hello?Comment

I'm sure star-wise he wasn't like Bowden, but he was definitely a known quantity.
Bowden is different...but not that different. We've had a few players in that echelon, and more than that we've had much better college players. Guys who had actually accomplished a hell of a lot on the field at UK.
The schisms on this team--there were some last season too--are odd.Comment

Selfish reasons. Conrad has the potential to be an All-American. He can't do that with two targets a game.
Bowden will be a star. I don't care if he doesn't know the entire playbook because he got on campus. Give him a few plays and get him the ball in space. There's no reason both of those guys don't have a minimum of five touches per game.Comment

As for Bowden, we did force the ball to him about three times a game, but he plays the same position as Juice Johnson and isn't obviously better as a route runner / pass catcher. Dude will get his eventually.

There is a reason. Conrad was bracketed most of the year and many times when he was open the QB chose to drive the ball down the field instead of throwing to him. Also by his own admission he didn't play well through the middle part of the season.

We tried to get too cute with Bowden. Get him a few screens and a few slants across the middle. Obviously he isn't taking reps from Juice, but he's got too much big play potential to not be a bigger part of the offense. If we still had Boom and Badet fine. But we don't.Comment

I don't care what kind of ball you are playing with. When you have a guy with AA talent you find ways to get him said ball. Our offense is in desperate need of play makers. We have them and under utilized them. Being bracketed doesn't mean you ignore him. It means as an OC you find ways to get him open. I'm sure Kelce was bracketed at Cincy but Gran figured it out then.
