I am not sure he has a problem. I think Saban initially over rated him. I appreciate his time here and sacrifice.

That belly looks like it's hanging like one that HAS lost significant weight recently. Belly's are taut when they are growing. They sag like that when you are losing weight.

I believe a taut belly is from visceral fat and a sagging jelly-belly is from subcutaneous fat. An obese youngster is more likely to have subcutaneous whereas it takes us a while to build a good beer belly.

I think there was some talk, but at the time we needed DT's and because he was projected to be a star, the decision was made to play him more out of necessity.
