Having to bounce back against UT may be a taller order than some think. And when people start to talk about how crappy they are, if we play the way we did today we just may not beat them.

Good point. I've been looking at the UT game against Bama....the UT kids whether you like em or not have been playing hard, just not well. Alabama will have to beat themselves.

Really the first time in over a year I've been really disappointed in these UK players. This game is a real either wake up or diaster, just depends on how the coaches and players respond.

Like Matt and others, a loss doesn't surprise me. Being manhandled does.

Not a good showing by my Cats today. Tackling problems, under thrown passes. Two things. I still prefer the football we're playing now as I remember how lifeless we were a few years ago and, if I was playing on a team I wouldn't want some of you as fans. If all you're going to do is point out all the problems, why even stop by. This team was beaten today by a better team in their house, but our kids played hard and tried their best. GO CATS!!

No matter how you spin it, this was a MAJOR step back today. Bad play calling. Bad tackling and blocking. We look like we did a few years ago Lighthouse. Zero fight today. You know as fans we have a right to complain when we look like this. They just were never in it and looked a couple steps slow today.

I posted in the Kentucky Opens As A 10 Point Underdog thread that this game could be pivotal. Go on to win seven or eight games and we'll be ok. If we tank, this game can be looked upon as when the slide began.

I think all of us get apprehensive when we think about second half season meltdowns.

I DO remember a UK team under Brooks taking a shellacking and regrouping to win the Music City Bowl.

The way the team responds next week may actually be what a lot of folks keep saying is the most important game of the year.

Well, I choose to look for positives instead of always focusing on the negatives. There were several today, but these are kids and I bet they or the coaches didn't intentionally play the way they did today.

The trick is for them to remember and fix. As long as they learn and grow, it's just a loss, not a season ender.

You got that right, but I just didn't see any positives today. Not one. Today we looked like a team that isn't going to win another game and that is truly disappointing. We have played tough the last 2 years and Outside of Bama last season, this is the first time in a long time we have been blown out. That has to be concerning. Oh well. Next game.

This team is built for running the ball and controlling the clock. When that isn't working, you must have a fall back plan. But no plan is gonna work if you can't block or stop the other team from doing whatever they want to do. This is gut check time for this team. We have been barely winning this season, but I just have a hard time believing that MSU is that much better than us talent wise.

I don't know what, if anything, this means but no. 1 Bama beat unranked Tn. by the exact same score (45-7) that unranked MSU beat us.

Oh well, back to the usual Kentucky football. I didn't expect a win today but I also didn't expect a 45-7 loss. This has to be a step back and Stoops has to be terribly disappointed in the effort. We will see how they react next week against a poor Tennessee team that UK has only beaten once in about 35 years.
