The deal with Petrino has been you put up with his personality/ethics because he wins games. Charlie left UL in pretty good shape. They fell apart late last season and are 4-3 right now. He better go to UT while he can because if the cards get a little worse each year he's there he starts to lose his luster pretty quickly.

I think he's already lost it. After all, where would he be now without Jackson?

Now that they aren't in the running for the football playoff like they were for a time last year, even Cardinal fans are pointing out Petrino has a long history of doing well with the.last coaches players, then leaving a lot less when he departs.

That would be consistent with my thinking for years that a lot of parents would not want him developing their child. But I thought he had recruited pretty well at Louisville especially from Florida. And every talented player that was kicked off any other big team.

The UL boards decision today will not only determine Jurich's fate, but more than likely Petrino's too. I think UL and UT should just trade coaches.

Tennessee is a head scratcher. They have had a carousel of coaches and firings. Not sure, but I think they either have to still pay out or have paid out tens of millions on geting rid of coaches and would have to pony up again if they want to make another change.

Do they have deep pocket like Texas and can throw more money around? What if the next guy is a mistake?

Louisville and Tennessee both seem to be drooling over J.Brohm. jmo......don't think so. In the first, Brohm has a pretty good gig to learn power five head coaching and get paid.
in the second, I think both UT and UL athletic department are borderline financially busted from prior hiring/firings.

I have read they have $14 million buyout to pay Jones if they fire him. Also still paying off Fullmer. So they will have big dollars to consider if they want to get rid of Jones.

I visit Vol Nation a lot just to see what's going on with our neighbor to the south. You may have said that for a joke, but some of their fans are actually wanting Petrino.

With the ties Brohm has to Louisville, he just might consider them. I don't think too many of the UT fans want Brohm. From what I've read, they don't think he's ready for that big of a stage.

Brohm will be the next coach at UL IF Petrino stays another year or two. I don't see him leaving Purdue with a bad taste in their mouth being this is his first year on the job.

Now that Jurich is gone, Brohm might come back.

Saw a couple of my UL fan freinds last night and they are actually hearing rumors that Petrino has bought a house in Nashville

He may have bought a house there, but I seriously doubt the powers that be at Vandy would consider him.
