    UK-Missouri Prediction Thread

I guess we may as well make our predictions. We're nearly two weeks removed from the Fl. debacle, so the hangover effect shouldn't be a factor. Missouri is terrible, and it's homecoming, so I'm going to predict the Cats by two to three touchdowns.

Missouri can score but they can't defend. UK can defend but have some problems scoring. So there you have it, something has to give. UK will win but it will closer than most think.

      UK 31
      Mizzou 24
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

With the promise of seeing Bowden more, I think the offense will be much improved especially if they use him in the wildcat. Defense dominates again.

I'm very concerned about the offensive line. If they don't get that solved, the second half of the season is going to be pretty rough. Last week was a debacle any way you look at it. Eastern Mich had given up 470 rushing yards on 112 carries to - are you ready? - Charlotte, Rutgers, and Ohio, for an avg of 4.2. Our running game - supposedly a strength for this team - got 53 yards in 37 tries = 1.4 YPC. That is beyond awful. (I'm not consoled by having to deduct 34 yards in sacks, either.)

Missouri is a bad team, true, but that fact doesn't seem to faze the Cats at all. I think we squeak another one out.

          UK 30 Missouri 27.

Not sure about the final outcome of this upcoming game. I do have a prediction, though. I predict if UK keeps Stephen Johnson in the pocket, the rest of the season, he is going to get killed. If I were coach, which I am not, I would roll him out in the flat about 20 to 30% of the time, where he can see the field better and have time to react to the pressure.

If there is a gamer 2nd string QB, we haven't seen him on the field yet. I have a huge concern that the starting QB may not make it through the rest of the season, if he keeps getting hit the way he did the last game.

As much as I would love to join on the big points, this year's coaching staff doesn't give me.much hope of that.
sure hope I'm wrong, but Kentucky 17, Tigers 14.

Have no clue. Defense-wise, UK is ranked 49th in the country....Missouri 109th. Offensively, it's the opposite! Missouri is ranked 44th.....UK 111th. They're terrible on defense.....but we stink on offense! Not sure what the betting line is, but I think we lose unless (1) Gran starts using our tight ends as they should be; and (2) Bowden is ready to become a much more important part of our sorrowful offense.

The Cat's are where I thought they would be. I am not sure I would predict a loss to Mizzou unless x,y, or z play out. Unfortunately, our guys play down to the level of competition. We are much more talented than Mizzou. I predict another close one early, but we start smacking them late. We have got to figure out how to bring it for 4 quarters EVERY SINGLE GAME, from the players on down to the coaches. It happens this game and it will be a springboard for the rest of the season.

                  Cats 49
                  Tigers 28

This is the game we have been wanting to see from Bowden. He gets confidence, then we start rolling. Kinda like last year, IMO.

Amen John...plus a weak off for a 5-1 team to heal. Not a bad spot if the cats get it.

Missouri has some DL talent from what I've been able to learn. Odom will have had two weeks to work on the defense. This game makes me nervous for more than a few reasons. This could be the week that we have a breakout performance from some of our skilled younger players. UK 31 - Missouri 17.

I would love to see us put a 52-7 beatdown on those snowflake losers, but in actuality the outcome will be closer.

                              UK - 26
                              Mizzou - 17
