The Gators. Im old enough to remember this was a highly competitive game.
I believe this will be the second most talent on a team that Kentucky will see. Strangely enough, I kind of like the coach of the Gators. Even if Florida were to reinstate all nine suspended players, I think it will take a couple more games for Florida to mesh into ......well, Florida.
Kentucky didn't just win the South Carolina game, the Cats BEAT South Carolina. It's been a time since I've been able to say that.
I think these Cats give these Gators more than they expect.
Kentucky ends the streak.

I hope we end the streak. i have been at some of the almost wins in the past 30 years. The FLA fans that come to Commonwealth have made he really dislike FLA. I have seen so many fights with FLA fans. I just hope we can say late Saturday evening that the streak is 1-0 KENTUCKY.

Tough game to call, Florida is no great but neither are we. Turnovers will be key to this one I think. If we could pull out a W it would be a monumental win for program.

Florida is still SCARY athletic such that they can absolutely PUNISH mistakes on both sides of the ball. It is a winnable game, but we will need to play well.

Against UT the one thing that stood out was their defense. Particularly their speed when closing on the ball. We can't come out the way we have the last 2 games. Gotta be focused and play mistake free football.

Here's what I found. It's near the end of this article. Its reported that the players were using a school debit card to buy electronic equipment and then re-selling it.

Just from what I've read and heard on the radio, there were suspensions for weed and the the major credit card suspensions. Some talk that some players are facing time for the card deal. Certainly a different level of discipline than we had grown used to hearing from Florida.

Florida would be darn good if their offense was effective. Kentucky is good enough to win, but we will need to play extremely well and take advantages of our opportunities to score. We finally have an SEC caliber defense, and this is the type of game we will need to win if we are to take the next step as a program. We played well Saturday night, but we left points on the board, and they missed field goals that would have made it an entirely different ballgame.

I've seen a bunch of games against Florida where we almost broke the streak. I remember very clearly a bogus holding call on a Derek Abney kickoff return for a TD that would've sealed the deal. I remember very clearly a missed delay of game penalty a few years ago in OT. This streak needs to end.

I remember last season, the cry was "If not this year, then when?". Well, the odds seem to be more in our favor THIS season. Between the UF suspensions and the look of our defense, the time is right more than ever. I sure hope I can be there. I would hate to drive from Bullitt County to witness a loss. But others have come further away and took an L, SO WHAT AM I COMPLAINING ABOUT?!?
