This. I really don't see what we have to lose by letting Bunchy go back to guard and playing Drake. He isn't taking a redshirt year. I know we have a lot of guys that can play multiple positions, but there's no reason for an SEC center to have as many inconsistent snaps as he does.

I'm not trying to be a smartalec, but how do we know Drake won't have inconsistent snaps?

He might. I am not saying start him and run with him the rest of the year. I just think we could give him a little time like we did Barker to see what he's got.

          I agree with that.

My post was not to start or not start Drake.

Just what can the Coaches do to fix the issue. I would think with Spring and fall camps they would know the weakness. Maybe he can do it great in practice but has issues in games. I have seen that at a young level, through 8th grade or so.

I hope this gets resolved quick, fast and in a hurry.

^I agree. During practice, every player demonstrates their strengths and weakness. I trust the Coaches to put the best we have on the field every game.

Maybe this thread should be dead now but my final 2 cents...lost respect for USC program when they--as a group--refused to shake hands before the game. Muschamp likely didn't know that lack of sportsmanship was coming but it wasn't a single player but all of them out there. That was premeditated and classless. Even Petrino is growing out of such d___head behavior. Could not be more elated they got drilled by a team they couldn't show respect for--for the 4th time in a row!

Heck...maybe they didn't feel worthy of shaking hands with a clearly superior team.

Given what has been the norm, for decades, I agree it was a classless act. I would like to share something with the younger fans that may not remember this. I can remember a time when members of opposing teams didn't shake hands before or after games. Players viewed the opposition with disdain, if not outright hatred. They were the enemy. If I remember correctly, at one time, the NFL had a rule (I don't recall if it was written or unwritten) that forbade players, of opposing teams, from socializing with each other on the field of play.

I take the handshakes and all that not as true camaraderie but as another part of the look-at-me spectacle sports has become. (And I'm not completely against that: these are mostly kids playing a game. Let them have a little fun. It's just something I've noticed.)

To me it goes hand in hand with the armbands and the gloves and the weird eye black and guys kneeling for group prayer after games and the more and more bizarre play signals called in from the sideline. It seems to me a way for the athletes to get just a little bit more facetime on camera.

I agree, Will. If it wasn't required, I wonder how many of these teams would be shaking hands?
