I caught the press conference on the SEC network with the Ole' Miss President and the AD. The semantics are that he resigned. The reality is that he was fired with the morals clause and he received no buyout.

Wonder if he got Katina's # from Scapegoat McGee. Houston Nutt is the one who alerted them to this? It's gotten real ugly down thar. Couldn't be much worse timing for their program either.

I imagine one of the assistants will have to be promoted to head coach. I would think it's too late to find an experienced head coach for the upcoming season.

Ole Miss fans deserve better than this. It seems Freeze painted one picture of himself that was beautiful and had Families loving that their kids were playing for him. It seems there was another picture though and now those same Parents are confused now. They were in enough trouble already but this latest incident is on Freeze the man. This isn't anything new that he did. I wonder if the UL fiasco played a part in their moving on.

He should have had Andre McGee do his dirty for him

It was a case of resign or be fired.

Stories like the scare me... Is this what is necessary to become competative in SEC Football? (Not calling prostitutes, but all the other stuff they are accused of)

I certainly hope it's not necessary, because we have become competitive.

I don't even want to get into all the stuff that is alleged for the reasons that lead to Freeze resigning. The cynic in me wonders if this is a move by Ole Miss to make a case for leniency from the NCAA now that they have forced him out. In other words, in the absence of potential NCAA sanctions, I wonder if Ole Miss would have done the same thing.

Well, I never thought this day would come but here it is. Hugh Freeze's over.

We haven't had a recruiting class like the one they allegedly bought. We are also not yet as competitive as they have been under HF.

It was a FOIA request by Houston Nutt and his lawyers that led to the escort calls being unearthed. If you pitched a movie with this kind of revenge angle you would get laughed out of the room The lesson: don't mess with Houston Nutt.
