If conversations about racism are meant for the Political forum, then shouldn't conversations about football stay in the football forum? Why bring up Hoak and Johnson in a non-football setting if that's what you believe, John?

Go back and watch the spring game and iso on Elam. He was fairly disruptive. He's not the force I expected him to be but he has contributed.

Elam catches a lot of flak. None of us were gunning for him when he committed, though. Maybe his issues stem from work ethic, but maybe 24/7 had his 5* rating wrong and his 3* ratings were more accurate and he's playing to his potential like the 3* player he is. I don't know. The kid decided to be a Wildcat in spite of a scholarship offer from Nick Saban. That'll always count for something in my book. He has my best wishes for a great 2017.

He has my best wishes too, Old School, and maybe he has contributed. But he hasn't lived up to his billing. Maybe his star rating was wrong, but Saban doesn't recruit many 3 star DL's.

I can understand everyone's (myself included) excitement at getting a five star recruit that Bama wanted. The problem is he hasn't done much to justify that excitement.
